Chapter 19

Daniel stood very still waiting for his answer, Xavier could feel his gaze burning him, and he still had no clue.
He continued to watch Rowan hoping that his answer would become clear, it didn’t. He wasnt sure if it was love he felt or something else. Adrenaline maybe, he had been fighting so hard for her, fighting to keep her, but was that all they had? He didn’t even know her favourite food, didn’t have a clue what she liked and disliked. Wasn’t really sure if she loved him.
Xavier turned from her to look at Daniel.
“I just don't know, you’re asking me to make an impossible decision, and in ten minutes. I can't.” Xavier confessed.
“Then you don't deserve her.” Daniel said.
With that said Daniel vanished, and reappeared with a sleeping Rogue.
“Oh hell no. He’s not putting his mangy paws on her, and besides he’s from the future. He can't stay here.”
“This is not the tiger you hold in your cage, Xavier. He will love and protect her, you leave me no choice. She can't bond with me, I'm here father and the bond is a sensual one.”
There was no way on earth he was letting Rogue be the one to bond with her. His possessiveness kicked into high gear, He couldn’t let anyone else be with her, who was he trying to fool. He loved her.
“I’ll do it.”
“Make sure you know what you’re saying Xavier, because...”
“I’m sure.” He said, and felt the rightness of it.
“Then I will leave you to bond with her, call me if you need anything.”
“Wait, I need to have a quick shower, wait with her while I get this crap off me.”
“Better make it fast.”
Xavier had the fastest shower in recorded history and was back with her in less than 2 minute, smelling far better than he had before.
Daniel Vanished the second Xavier had stepped into the room. He walked to the bed and discarded his towel and climbed in beside Rowan.
Right Xavier, now all you need to do is bite her. Ahh hell, this was so disturbing. Ok so just touch her, yeah he could do that. He ran his fingers all over her soft skin, learning every inch of her glorious body. Her skin reacted to his touch, goose bumps rose in his wake. Her breasts, god her breast were so inviting. He leaned his head down and licked her nipple, it drew tight and hard before he sucked it into his mouth and revelled in the hard peak against his tongue. He rolled between her thighs, she wasn’t conscious, but her body responded to him, demanding his attention. This felt so right, even though it probably shouldn’t.  He kissed every inch of her, licking and nibbling.
He couldn’t put it off any longer, he just hoped that he felt the same after this. His teeth came down and he sunk them into her neck, drawing her life force into him, their minds linked, he could see her memories. They were silent, like a black and white movie, no sound and no emotion just pictures.
His whole body exploded into life, desire so strong it made a mockery of anything he’d ever felt before, her blood mixing with his. Fire so hot, it should incinerate them both. Their hearts synchronised. The world fell away leaving only the need to be inside her, joining them, making them one. Slowly he slid into her, until he was buried so deep, he lost sight of where he ended and she began. He was home, this is where he belonged. Her memories played out as they made love, her blood, her body, her memories all belonged to him, just as he now, belonged to her.
His heart clenched as he realised that she was always alone, every memory good or bad, she was alone. Until the little girl come into them. The one that Darkess had. He’d have to get her back, Rowan was obviously attached to her, she was the only other person in her memories.
Then he appeared, they were nearing the end, he was amazed how much she had thought of him, he appeared a lot. He held her tight, knowing what was going to come, there was no way she wouldn’t replay her captivity. He wanted to take the pain he knew it had caused her. He couldn’t feel it now but he had felt it when it had happened. If he could ,he would erase that memory, since he couldn’t he would let her know that he was here with her, that she wasn’t alone anymore and never would be again.
His body cocooned her, his frame acting as shelter for her. He continued to slide in and out of her, his desire rising with every thrust. The memories, the blood, the desire all consuming him, tying him to her on every level. Minds, bodies and souls joined forever. It should never have taken him ten minutes to decide this, she was all he needed, all he wanted. Joy and love overflowed from him and spilled into her as he tumbled over the edge of no return.
His body tensed as her memories moved to things he hadn’t seen through her earlier. Darkess kissing her, touching her, his fingers inside her. He felt sick, wanted to scream as his own pain threatened to tear him apart, because he hadn’t been there in time, had left her to defend herself against a monster. Until he watched her throw her head back in what looked like pleasure, she was digging her nails into Darkess, as he picked up her leg and.
He pulled away and broke the connection; he couldn’t watch her have sex with someone else. His heart broke. She had had sex with Darkess.
Still deep inside her, he felt sick as his body shuddered, spilling the last of his orgasm. She had wanted what Darkess was doing, didn’t fight him at all, enjoyed it, by the looks of her. He’d seen her look like that with him. He might not have felt what she was feeling in that memory, but her action spoke volumes.
What had he done? How could he have been so stupid, so blind. She didn’t love him, she couldn’t if she was willing to be with Darkess, just after they’d been together.
He had given up his humanity for her, for the lie that she loved him, for the spell she had put him under. What a fool he’d been.
This was probably Daniels plan all along. They only needed a blood bank, and he had willingly signed up for it.
He rolled off her and onto his back, he couldn’t stand to look at her anymore. He had never told anyone that he loved them until her, had never given anything of himself to anyone before, never spilled his seed in anyone else, had never wanted to create life before. She had taken everything from him.
Everything. And he hated her for the fact that he still loved her.
“Xavier.”
He turned his head to her, and was caught in her eyes. His heart rate increased and his body stiffened. He wanted her like a madman. Everything in him wanted her. Those green eyes that he had wanted her to open, held him transfixed, the love shining in them tangible. Until reality came crashing back, she didn’t love him. He turned his head away from her, a physical pain tore through him.
“You need to feed Rowan.” He said, exposing his neck to her and keeping his emotions under lock and key. He would never again be drawn into her lying eyes.
